IMPROVED vSTOV'IE-(JO'V'ER, DISH, AND KETTLE-LIPTER.
The Schedule referred to lintheee ,Letters Patent and making part of the Same VI, CYRUS COLE, of Havana, Schuyler county andA State of New York, haveinvented a certain new and useful Improvement in Stove-Cover, Dish and Kettle- Lifters, of which the following is a specification.
This invention rela'tes toY the combination of cast and wrought iron with Wood in the manufacture of Astove-cover, dish, and kettle-lifters, for the purpose of making them light, strong, durable, and ef'icient.

The cast part is then treated with vitriol, which removes the sand.
The chief advantages claimed in this style of' lidlifters are- 4 First, simplicity,ease,and cheapncss of manufacturef i Second, efficiency and certainty of action.
Third., the handle, being of wood, admits of its being` left onthe stove for any length of time, and being removable at any time without burning the hand.
Fourth, the hook d being-'directly under the handle A, facilitates the removal of heavy pots and kettles
