Be it known that l, Gnnrlin Dosnnvrrciz, a subject of the Russian Empire, residing at 185 Rue du Chateau des llentiers, Paris, France, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Apparatus for Winch ing the Filaments of Incandescent Electric Lamps on Their Supports, of which the fcllowing is a specification,
This invention has for its object an apps ratus for Winding, or mounting on their supports, the filaments of incandescent electric lamps, either in their crude condition as obtained by pressing plastic pastes or in the metallic condition as obtained. by drawing or by the chemical formation 0:5? the pressed filaments.
The use of this apparatus is intended more particularly when the filaments must be fixed on their supports at a large number of points, and the portions the filaments or chains)" comprised between two consecutive fixing points must be of a given length which is greater than the distance separating the two fixing points; the filaments then have a certain slackness.
The apparatus which forms the object of the presen invention enables the necessary slackness to be easily given to the filament which is being Wound, and the length of the portions of the filament between coir secutive points of attachment to be automatically measured with all desirable preeision.
The apparatus is substantially composed of a central member for fixing the support on which the filament is to be wound, and arms arranged parallelly or obliquely to the support and adapted to be maintained at a given distance from the support during the operation of fixing the filament, and then simultaneously approached to it in order to release the wrapped support. apparatus may, for instance, comprise in practice a central shaft which is bored axially at one of its ends, andior a portion of its length and provided at this same part with a certain number of longitudinal slots intended to give passage to the arms or hooks of the filament support, the central part of Which is inserted in the bore of the shaft and fixed in any suitable Way.
