In operation, the device is laid upon a table with the baseboard 1 resting flat. thereupon, and thespring clasp isdrawn back, as in Fig. t. One leg is now placed upon the base board' and smoothed out-to eliminate the wrinkles.

One 'of the boards 18 is now placed upon the smooth leg, and preferably a board \vith'the cutout 19 is used, as shown in. Fig. 4. The secondleg is now laid over and smoothed out upon the paste board and the leg bottoms are. clasped between. the end of the base board andthe spring clasp 15.

In Fig. 5 it will be seen that: the paste-boards and the folding boards are not .so long as the base board and this construction provides for the increased thickness of the leg bottoms so that they may be held firmly between the clasp and baseboard, and Figs. 1 and 4 show the opposite ends of the folding boards cut away to allow for the increased fullness at the seat of the trousers. ;After the second leg has been positioned the second paste board is laid upon the ,trousers', and the boards :2 and 3 folded in toward. each other,

An inspection of Fig. 2 will illustrate the squeezing action of the folding boards upon the legs, which' action, and the Continued pressure, forms a neat and serviceable crease at the front and back of the trousers legs.

what I claim as new and desire to. secure by Letters Patent is l. The combination with a base board and complementary folding boards hinged thereto, of a lever pivotedon one hinge strap on a folding board and carrying a ring, and the hinge strap on the opposing folding board having a hooked end to receive said ring, whereby the folding boards may be folded down upon and held togthe base 1 board.
