SAFETY-RAZOR.
To aZZ whom it maylconcern Be it known that I, JOHN ALEX'ANDER SERVICE, a 'subject of Great Britain, and a resident of New Orleans, in the parish of Orleans, State of Louisiana, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Safety-Razors. x
My object is to provide `a safety razor, that is more portable, cheaper construction; and has a safer and better cutting action. The following is a specification of the same, reference being made to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 is a view of the razor assembled. Figs. 2 and 3 are end views of the same. Figs. 4, 5, 6 are respective views of the blade. Fig. 7 is a view of the frame with rollers and blade detached. l
3 is the frame which is made out'of one piece of sheet brass 'and is shown in Fig.| 7; 1 and 2 are rollers with circular grooves in them to permit the hair and soap to pass by the blade. The rollers have their outer periphery milled to secure better contact to the face. They are held in position by means of the four set screws. The frame 1s used for a handle, as the rollers make the action of the razor so easy that the encnmbranoe of a separate handle is not necessary. It is intended to make the circular grooves on the rollers oblique to their axes in the Specification of Letters Patent.
