Be it'known that-I, STANLEY M. BREHM,

a citizen of'the United States, residing at' Miamisburg, in thecounty of Montgomery and State of Ohio, ,have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Telephone Attachments; and I do declare the follow ing to he a full, clear, and exact description witthe nvention, such as will enableothers skilled in the art to which it appertains to the particular features hereinafter set forth in the specification and specifically named the claim.

In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is'an elevation of adesk or table telephone instrument having my improved writing tablet support attached thereto. Fig. 2 is a top plan view of the writing tablet support,

the post of the telephone instrument appearing in section. Fig. 3 is a bottom plan view cf 9. portion of the table or plate showing themounting of the spring clip and pencil holder.

Describing briefly the well known-parts comprising the telephone instrument, 1 designates the base, 2 the standard and 3 the receiver.

In the preferred form of my attachment, I provide a frame 4 consisting ofa suitable rod or gage of wire and impose upon it the double purpose of-holding the wrltlng table or plate 5 and providing a hinge 6 for the movable member 70f the standard clamp to swing upon in attaching or detaching the device from a the standard 2. portion 9 which supports one end 12 of the frame 4, which is turned at a right angle to the plane of said frame. The hinged clamp member 7 has also a socket portion into which a similarly turned end 13 of the frame :1 extends, and thus the hinge 6 is provided. 5
