This invention relaties to new and useful improvements in 'window stfx'eens and more particularly to 'en adjustable screen, and my object is to provide .a device of this eharactmwvidi im loved means tor'retaining the sections of t e screen together.

In carrying out my invention, I shall refer to the drawing in which similar reference characters designate corresponding parts throughout the several views and in which 1 and 2 indicate the rectangular frame sections o an adjustable being formed of the Wood bars or strips 3 covered with a metallic facing fi, and a screening material 5,.,'is held on the sections 1 and 2 between the andthe metallic covering 4 thereof. From the foregoing, it will be seen that I have provided an adjustable screen,y these'ctions of which are provided with interlock ing members on the upper and lower bars thereof,-which interlockingmenibers are of improved f orm, and it will still further be..
seen that these interlocking 'members are of such a character as to securely retain Jthe sections together and in'anyadjusted lposition with respect to one another, at the saine time permitting of a smooth andiready movement. Furthermore, it will be seen that I have provided means lto prevent .the entrance of insects in the space between the screening material of one section and the screening, material of the opposed section, which means comprises laterally extending strips on the metallic covering or facing of the end bars of the respective sections. It will. further be seen that my device is one of extremely simple and durable construction, inexpensive to manufacture, and one which is very efficient and useful in operation.
Having thus describedx my invention, what I claim is 7. 1.
