Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding A is the. tube, which is connected with an elevated reservoir containing naphtha, gasoline, or other hydrocarbon liquid, or burning fluid, Vwhich is ignited at the point B in thechz'nnbcr (l.
1) is a pan-like dctlector directly above the Hamer which may contain water to furnish, by vaporization, moisture to the heating-chamber E above.
F is the platform or top of the flame-chamber Gr H represents holes in thin plate, through which'the lheat passes upward.` f
I represents ribs on tbc plate F, upon which the Vitat-iron rests, as seen in the drawing. These ribs are raised s o as 'to/allow free passage for the heat bencatlr 'the irons,
J is the dome, which rests on shoulders formed i nthe side flange of the plate I", as seen at. K K.
This dome is lined with tin, soythat it acts as afreflee-tor to throw the heat upon the iron.
' M represents the flat-iron.
N is a-handle, by which the dome is removed or' handled.
