My invention is .designed to furnish aframe com-posed entirely of sheet-metal and which may be assembled and secured in place without the use of solder or rivets.
My invention is also intended to provide a handle which is secured in place by the frame.
I attain these objects by means of the construction and arran ement of parts here inafter described, an shown and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which,

At each corner of the plate 1, the mitered of one of the strips coinciding with the bottom of the channel or groove therein is extended to form an elongated tongue 4. This part is bent inwardly at a right-angle to embrace closely the corner of the part 1 and near its end is bent .outwardly'at a rightangle, as at 5. Through the bottom of the channel of the piece which abuts against the piece having the tongue 5 is a narrow transverse slot 6 which, when this piece is put in place, receives the tongue 5 which projects outwardly through the slot. The tongue 5' being now bent closely down upon the edge of the piece through which it projects, as at 7, the two meeting channeled metal pieces are'tightly locked together with their mitered edges in close contact.

To the outer side of the piece 8 is secured a handle 10. Before the metal frame is secured in place, the flanges 9 are slipped into contact with the meeting margins of the plate at one of its corners with the handle projecting outwardly. Now. when the channeled frame pieces are secured in place, the outer flange or side of the frame members will embrace and firmly hold in place the part 10 with its handle. Two handles may of course be provided, if desired, but where the window or door is to be moved to overlap a correspondin device, only a single handle will be provided for each one at 1ts outer lower corner.

a sheet of glass, a sheet metal plate having flanges which engage the converging margins of one corner of the glass, a handle secured to said late and a frame consisting of metal strips aving channels which-receive the margins of the glass and the flanges of said plate.
