Above the doorway or door opening in the side wall A of the cur is arranged a rail bar B that is connected to the side Wall of the car by through-bolts C. As shown, the lower depending guard flange h lies in the plane of the base flange and the track flange 32 projects outwardly from the lower' portion of the base flange.

The inner flange g of the bar G extends upwardly inside of the guard flange Z2 of the rail B and thus' serves to prevent the aceidental disengagement of the door hangers from the track bar. This arrangement also protects the door and the door opening from the weather.
