IMPROVEMEN'I PAVING-BRICKS.

We, DAVID Morris's and Jens Tuoinsou, both .of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a certain 1m.-
provement in-the form or-make of Paving-Bricks, of which the following is a specification.
Nature and Oly'eot ofthe I Mention. The nature and'object of our invention is the improve'ment of the sidewalks of our cities by substitut- Genie ml Description. In the form of our brick, one of its chief faces is.
divided crosswise into three equal portions, A B G, as shown in the drawing, the center portion B being sunk tliree-eighths of an inch lower than the others, and all of them quite flat. These bricks are to be laid with their sectional faces downward, thus forming underneath recesses, where no under fulcrum can be raised by sand or dirt, as with those in present use for paving purposes.
