IMPROVEMENT IN PRINTERS FURNITURE.

The object of this invention is to enable a pressman to make changes in a form of type without loss of Atime or. danger of error, or possibility of accident.
It consists (tig. 3.) of two -blocks ofthe shape usually given, little bellows on the under side of electrotype or stereotype-blocks, (tig. 2,) but made a. little smaller, the said two blocks being attached at one or both ends to a strip or strips of metal rule or reglet, so as to keep them separated the proper distance and forni a solid abutment.
After this stereotype or velectrotype block bridge is locked up in a form of type, a set of blocks (iig. 1) for names of headings or other purposes, Iliade a very little smaller than the open space, may be successively inserted and withdrawn without hindrance to the work.
