In order-to hold the drum-like member in position with reference to the'recess 24; and to feed it step by step, I provide the foll'owing mechanism. Mounted on'the right hand end of the disk is a member having teeth 30. These'teeth' correspond in their spacing to the typeholders,as shown, there is one tooth for .eachrail. ' Having thus described my invention, what I claim is:-
1. The combination of a rotatable member, means for holding on the surface thereof parallel lines of individual type, mechanism for giving said member partial rotations 'to bring successive typeholders into act-ivef'position,- and a handle adapted to give said member a complete rotation.
