HOLDER FOR FIRE-EXTINGUISHERS.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WILBUR J. A. MAN- NING, citizen of the United States, residing at Detroit, county of Wayne, State of Michigan, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Holders for Fire-Extinguishers, and declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accom panying drawings, which form a part of this specification;

This invention relates to holders for fire extinguishers.

It has for its object aniniproved holder I adapted to be attached to automobiles, ve-

ends of which the fire extinguisher tube 4 are received. The end 2 is a socket circular in its general form and provided with a cushioning member 5 around the side and over the bottomof the socket which is adapted to prevent the rattling of the extinguisher in its frame when the vehicle to which itis attached is in motion. At the opposite end a socket 6 somewhat deeper than the socket 5 contains a spring 7 and a Specification of Letters Patent.

hat I claim is A holder for fire-extinguishers, having in combination a base bar, a socket adapted to engage one end of theextin'guisher tube and provided with a cushion, a second socket adapted to engage the opposite end oft-he extinguisher tube provided with a spring and a hook adapted to engage the ring on the extinguisher tube.
