Be it known that I, FRANKA. KOPP, a

citizen of the United States, and a resident of Miami, in the county of Dade and State of Florida, have invented a. new and Improved Toy Gun, of which the following is a full, clear, andexact description.

My invention relates to a toy gun which is made up of a frame member having a resilient band carried thereby, together with means for holding the band in stretched position, and other means for releasing the band whereby the end of the band when released may be caused to strike some obie ct such as a fly or an insect.

The object ofmy invention is to rovide' I a simple device of the class describe which may be produced at a low cost and which will be eflicient in its operation and will perform the functions for which it was designed. I

Reference is to be had to the accompany ing drawings forming a part of this speci fication, in which like characters of reference denote corresponding parts in all the views, and in whic Figure 1 is a perspective view of my .in position, pointed at a fly;'Fig. '2 .is a side view thereof, partly in section; Fig. 3 is a sectional view, on the line 3-3. of Fig. 2.

The toy is made up of a frame comprising a handle portion '1 and a stock '2 which is provided with an angularly extending recess 3' adjacent the handle portion, the forward end of the stock being provided with a pin or staple, or any suitable means 4 wherebyone end of the resilient band 5 is held in position.

The band 5 is of such length thatit may be stretched as shown in Fig. -2 without breakin the free end of the band being provide with a knob or knot 6 bearin against the rear portion. of a fixed lece y havin a recess 8 therein, within which the band is seated.

The releasing means for the end 6 of theband 6 comprisesa trigger made preferably of a single piece of resllient material 9 having one end thereof 10 secured to the under side of the stock 2, the said piece of material being bent preferably at a central portion 11, the portion 12 therebeyond being straight and extending upwardly through the opening 3 in the stock 2, as shown 111 'Fig. 2. A toy gun comprising a frame con I sistin of a handle portion and a stock-portion, a resilient band having one of its ends securely fastened to the forward end of the stock, the otherend of the said band being provided with a knot, an element carried by i the said stock and provided with a recess through whichthe said band extends with the knot thereon engaging the rear side of the said element, an opening in the said stock adjacent the said element, a; trigger made of resilient material having one end thereof secured to the said stock and the other end thereof extending through the/ said opening with the end portion bearing against the aforesaid element and adjacent the said knot whereby an -u ward movement of the trigger will carry t e said knot out of engagement with the said element, whereby the band will return to its normal posi tlon and be moved forwardly of the said stock in such return movement.
