Although I have described the top and bottom balloon members a and a as composed of casings containing an inflatable bag or bags, said casings being flat or oblon in cross section so' as to enable said 0011 members to operate as aeroplanes, it 18 not essential that sin le casings for this pnrpose be employe and instead thereof I may employ the construction shown in Fig. 6 which represents a transverse section of one o-f'these balloon members, said balloon member being composed of separate cylindrical casings a which range forwardly and backwardly and each of which is provided with a separate internal inflatable bag a", and in practice any desired number of these casings may be secured together in any suitable manner so as to form the top and bottom balloon members a and a and formea part of'the main frame or body of the machine, and it will be understood that the top and ottom balloon members when'made up in this manner will act as aeroplanes, the same as in the construction of single casings and internal inflatable bagls, as hereinbefore described;

In a flying machine, a main frame or body composed of top and bottom balloon members which are comparatively flat oroblong in form in cross section and rigidly connected by an open frame work, said balloon members being composed of outer casings and inflatable ba 's placed therein, said main frame or body being provided at its opposite sides with forwardly and backwardly directed supports in which are mounted aeroplanes, a central bridge construction placed in the main frame or body and ranging orwardly and backwurdly, pr ellers mounted on the opposite sides of sai bridge work, other supports connected with the main frame or body and projecting forwardly and backwardly centrally thereof and at the opposite ends of said bridge work, rudders mounted in said supports, means for operating said aeroplanes, devices for operating said propellers, and means for operatin said rudders.

A flying machine composed of a main frame or body comprising top and bottom balloon members rigidly connected by an open work frame construction. said balloon members being com osed of outer casings and internal mflata le bags, a central forwardly and backwardly ranging bridge work, outwardly directed supports connected with the front and back portions of the main ders mounted in said last named supports,

A flying machine comprisin a main body or frame work composed 0 top and bottom balloon members rigidly connected by an open work construction, said balloon members being approximately flat or oblong in cross section and being com osed of outer casings and internal inflatab e bags, aero planes mountedat the o posite side portions of said frame or body, orwardly and backwardly ranging'propeller shafts mounted in the rear ortion of the main frame work or construction and on the opposite sides of the central part thereof, propellers connected with the front and rear ends of said shafts,
means for operating said shafts, and for wardly and backwardly directed rudders mounted centrally of the main frame work or body.

A flyin machine composed of a main frame provided with top and bottom members formin main aeroplanes, a central forwardly an backwardly ranging bridgework, outwardly directed supports conthe main frame, transversely ranging sup 2 6. In an aeroplane, a main frame prow'ded with top and bottom main aeroplane members, forwardly and backwardl directed supports at the op osite ends 0 the main frame and rovide with horizontally sup ported and movable supplemental aeroplanes, other forwardly and backwardly directed su ports midway of the main frame and provi ed with rudders, propelling de vices, means for operating the supplemental aero lanes, and means for operating said rud ers.

In an aeroplane, a main frame provided with top and bottom main aeroplanes, other aeroplanes movably mounted in the end portions of the-main frame transversely thereof, forwardly and backwardly directed supports connected with the op osite end portions of the main frame an provided with movable aeroplanes, other forwardly and backwardly directed supports arranged midway of the main frame and rovided with rudders, and pro elling devices also mounted transversely o the central portion of the main frame.
