CHIMNEY-COWL.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making pan: of the lame.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, ELISHA P. H. CAPRON, of the city of Springfield, county of Clark, and State of Ohio, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Chimney-Caps or Ventilators; "and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings and to tbeletters of reference marked thereon.
The nature of my invention consists in adapting a' spiral wheel or propeller to the top of a chimney in such a manner that said spiral wheel can never run in the wrongdirection, that being an objection to those now in use.
The object of my invention is 'to' produce a cheap chimney-cap or Ventilator that shall effectually cure smoky chimneys by creating a greater draughtv to said chimneys. I V
