Abstract
The invention relates to a process for biological treatment of waste water, comprising the supply of portion of waste water to bioreactor, making up not more than ½ of volume of the secondary settler. The agitation of the mixture of waste water and activated sludge in bioreactor is carried out by recirculation using air lifts, directed in reverse direction of movement of waste water stream, which is supplied for treatment, and cross-flow of partially treated waste water is carried out from the upper zone of the bioreactor tank to the bottom zone of the secondary settler by corresponding cross-flow channels using cross-flow siphon system. The invention allows to increase the efficiency of waste water treatment at its peak discharges to sewage disposal plants and to maintain its high treatment degree.
