Abstract

A process for biological treatment of municipal and industrial waste water comprises their mixing with activated sludge, aeration of stream of sludge mixture in aerotank with periodical shutoff air delivery, division of sludge mixture and return of activated sludge into aerotank, return into the aerotank of the part of sludge mixture, which is regularly taken at the outlet of stream from the aerotank during the shutoff air delivery. The activated sludge is maintained in anaerobic state by means of decreasing of aerobic medium in the final zone of aerotank, and the sludge mixture is pumped by air lift from aerotank to the regenerator passage.
