Abstract

A prosthetic foot manufacturing method provides for making a negative mold according to the stump and formation of positive model, coating with a layer of soft silastic compound, wrapping by sheet of rubber compound with Shore hardness of 35 units and thickness of 2mm, formation of sleeve workpiece, vulcanization first in furnace, then at room temperature up to the termination of relaxation process. The obtained inner surface of the sleeve is tested on the compliance to foot stump, and marking of the sleeve external surface is carried out. The sleeve is placed on ankle positive model, external sheath of silicon part of the prosthetic foot is modeled according to pelmatic part of the sleeve. The areas of ablated front foot portion are coated with layers of Termosil compound rubber, prosthetic forefoot and fingers are formed according to the form of fingers of the saved patient extremity, and upper part of the prosthetic foot sheath is formed. Vulcanization and cooling is carried out. A pattern of workpiece of prosthetic foot pelmatic part and a pattern of shinbone part of the sleeve are made of prepreg. The obtained element of the prosthetic foot is placed and fixed on the pelmatic part, and shinbone element is fixed to ankle positive model of lower limb. The workpieces of prepreg are vacuumized at room temperature and in furnace, and cosmetic treatment of prosthetic foot rigid elements is performed.
