Abstract

Disclosed is a machine for shredding cuts of dry vegetable stems, comprising a base, a shredding unit with a driving mechanism and a protecting case with a shear plate. On the base two bodies of bearings with driving shafts are mounted. At the ends of said shafts sets of standard disk cutters and driving pulleys are disposed in such a manner that axles thereof are strictly parallel. Outermost planes of the sets of the disk cutters are at the same plane. The standard disk cutters are arranged on the shafts in such a manner that teeth of the sequent cutters are opposite to tooth spaces of the preceding ones. On the base a protective casing with minimum gaps between side surfaces of the cutters is mounted rigidly. In the protective casing the shear plate is mounted between the sets of disk cutters in such a manner that cutter edges thereof are in the same plane with the rotational axes. Under the sets of the disk cutters with the minimum gap shear sieves with cone openings made by vertices thereof to the cutters are mounted rigidly. On the base a feeder tank with a delivery pipe is mounted rigidly in such a manner that the delivery pipe enters into the volume of the protective casing above the sets of the disk cutters and has an opening to allow entry of cuts into cutting area. On the base electric motors with driving pulleys are mounted. A screw with a pressure beater, a stopper disk at the end and a driving pulley is mounted into the feeder tank and the delivery pipe.
