Abstract

A method for diagnosing endothelial dysfunction in adolescents with arterial hypertension comprises anthropometric and laboratory examination. Adolescent patients are checked for body mass index, the level of uric acid in the serum and the amount of venous blood plasma nitric oxide metabolites. In case of body mass index > 24.9 kg/m, the level of uric acid exceeding > 0.352 mmol/l and β-microglobulin indicators > 2.09 mg/l, the formation of endothelial dysfunction and unfavorable course of the disease is diagnosed.
