The invention relates to metallurgy and deals with formation of lining in induction furnace for smelting secondary ferro-aluminum. The method includes filling of fettle and its drying by means of increase of temperature during 2 hours to with keeping during 2 hours, after that to at the rate of 100 °C/h with keeping during 1-2 hours, and then at the same rate up to . After that the charge is melted with keeping cast-iron in furnace during 1.5-2 hours and run off. Due to the method quality and stability of lining is increased, with increase of duration of operating period of the furnace campaign, increase of quality of melted secondary aluminum is achieved.
