Abstract

The technique for fashioning termino-lateral choledochojejunoanastomosis provides for placing the stump of intestinal graft mobilized by Roux medially behind the common bile duct prepared for anastomosing. The end of the common bile duct should be located in the middle of the small intestine diameter at a distance of 7-8 cm from its stump. The graft is then fixed with two purse-string sutures to the serous-muscular sheath fashioned in the small intestine and passed under the serous-muscular sheath through two parallel transverse incisions dissecting the submucous layer and mucosa according to the diameter of the common bile duct. The anastomosis is fashioned by suturing the edges of the wall of the common bile duct with the edges of the submucosal membrane of the small intestine.
