A method for the assessment of Fenofibrate efficacy in treatment of the patients with the ischemic heart disease with angina pectoris and the arterial hypertension with the impairment of diastolic function of the left ventricle according to "hypertrophic" type provides for the comparison of the state of the patient prior to and after the treatment. Prior to the treatment, Doppler echocardiography at rest is performed and transmitral blood flow is assessed by measuring the rate of early diastolic filling. The same examination is provided after treatment with Fenofibrate. When the rate of early diastolic filling increases by at least 10.1 % as compared with that prior to the treatment, the hemodynamic result and antianginal effect are considered as positive.
