Abstract
The invention relates to a technology for the preparation of tungstates and molybdates of bivalent metals, which can be used as initial raw material for growing of crystals, used for the production of ionizing-radiation detectors in computer tomography. The process comprises mixing and interaction of ammonium paramolybdate or ammonium paratungstate with carbonate or nitrate of bivalent metal, after which the obtained mixture is heated to 400-600 °C by the action of microwave radiation with frequency of 2.45 GHz for 5-15 minutes. The use of the invention allows simplifying the process, decreasing of energy demands and increasing of the product purity.
