Abstract

Disclosed is a process for the preparation of high-temperature antioxidant additive to lubricants by condensation of 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol and alkylphenols with urotropin. Alkylphenols with C- Cradical are used as alkylphenols. The condensation is carried out in the presence of catalyst, and prepared product is treated with boric acid in mole ratio of 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol:boric acid equal to1:(0.5-2.0):(0.003-3.0).
