Abstract

The invention relates to branch of drying bulk agricultural products and can be used in agrarian industry for drying seed, in particular of corn cobs and other late mature cultures, for obtaining seed grain. One of most important problems at obtaining conditional seed grain of different late cultures is in preserving seed properties under conditions of long storage (in particular during winter period or more long time). Long keeping of grain is possible under conditions of its humidity being not higher than 10-15 %. In method for drying bulk agricultural products that includes loading products to drying chamber, evacuation of volume of chamber, super-high-frequency (SHF) heating and drying, drying is carried out in vacuum at residual pressure at level 50-100 mm of mercury, this is supported by permanent blasting with dried air or inert gas at temperature that does not exceed 30-35 °C. The method proposed for drying agricultural products provides 2 times decrease of duration of drying process and 5 times decrease in power consumption compared to existing modern technologies of drying at simultaneous preservation of characteristics of seed quality, in particular germination and laboratory germinating power.
