Abstract

The invention relates to area of metrology, in particular to methods of control of gas meters at operation for determination of state of metrological characteristics of those. Method for diagnostics of gas meters at operation includes metrological tests. According to the invention, at implementation of those one determines rated characteristic – dependence of pressure losses in meter on flow rate. And during operation of meter one determines real characteristic and compares it to rated characteristic. By deflection from permitted vales one evaluates technical and metrological condition of meter. By results of diagnostics one makes decision on following operation of gas meter. The invention provides implementation of continuous diagnostics and makes it possible to fix failure of meter, instant of its coming to existence and makes it possible to determine physical reason of failure.
