Abstract
A method for the complex therapy of the first episode of shift-like schizophrenia with aggressive behavior comprises the use of the psychotropic drugs including Risset and electrically induced sleep. Within the second week of the treatment, the oral Risset dose is increased to moderate level with daily increment of 1.0 mg up to 6.0 mg daily. In 1.5 hours following the morning oral dose of Risset, the sleep is induced according in orbital-postaural mode with the constant increase of the current from 15 to 20 mA, the pulse rate from 5 to 120 Hz, pulse duration from 0.2 to 0.5 ms, the duration of the session from 20 to 80 min with 14 daily sessions per treatment course.
