Abstract
Изобретение касается металлургии, а именно электротермического производства карбида бора. Способ получения карбида бора включает плавление шихты, которая содержит борную кислоту и углеродный восстановитель, в дуговой электропечи. Предварительно шихту размалывают до фракции 0-100 мкм и комкуют, а плавление осуществляют в таком электрическом режиме, при котором соотношение мощности, которую подводят к электродам электропечи, и площади формирования блока из карбида бора находится в пределах 0,116-0,29 кВт/см. Использование изобретения разрешает повысить усвоение бора в конечном продукте, снизить удельные затраты электроэнергии и увеличить производительность электропечи.
