Abstract

A method for measurement of the value of quantum yield of luminescence () of liquids and gases includes radiation of the substance under investigation with light from the region of its absorption, with measurement of the value of luminescence of the substance under investigation () and the value of its absorption () by means of radiation detector. First the value of luminescence () and absorption () of the standard are measured, with determination of the value of quantum yield of the standard that corresponds to the dimension of the spatial angle of the receiver () by formula:. The value of the spatial angleof the receiver is determined by formula:, where, and the value of the quantum yield of luminescence of the substance under investigation is determined by formula.
