A method for obtaining thallium (_) - titanium (_V) tetrasulphide involves graduated heating of quartz ampoules vacuum-processed to 0.13 Pa, and containing original components at necessary stoichiometric ratio, to maximum temperature and keeping at the same temperature for 24 hours and subsequent annealing at 650è. Elementary thallium, titanium and sulphur are used as original components for synthesis. Maximal synthesis temperature is of 1073+5è, and annealing lasts for 168+1 hours.
