Abstract

Invention relates to the tube-rolling production, in particular, to the methods of manufacture of the mandrels for continuous tube mills. Method includes the multipass rolling of rod, its straightening, mechanical treatment along the length, heating, multipass running-in with hardening during the first pass. At rolling of rod the temperature of the metal prior to final pass does not exceed the value ACç +- 20 DEGREE C,and its relative reduction in this pass makes not less than 15 %, after rolling the tempering of rod is carried out, and at running-in after hardening in the first pass high-temperature tempering is accomplished due to internal heat of rod and further cooling at a speed not less than 450 ?C/min. Invention provides an increase of the depth of hardened layer of mandrel.
