Description of the invention
The proposed invention relates to the field of metallurgy, in particular equipment for melting and casting refractory 2 metals and their alloys in a vacuum using electron beam heating.
For the melting of refractory metals and their alloys with electron beam technology, as a rule, crucibles are used, the coolers of which are made of a material with high thermal conductivity, in particular copper 11. The disadvantage of these crucibles is that they do not have additional devices or devices for mixing the liquid metal bath , and the task of increasing the draining of metal is solved due to the development of the heating surface, that is, the increase in the diameter of the crucible, which leads to significant losses of metal by evaporation.
The closest in essence are crucibles (2, 3) equipped with a system of electromagnetic stirring (EMS) of the melt, the use of which makes it possible to increase the flow of metal, facilitates the melting of multicomponent alloys, reduces metal loss due to evaporation and reduces the specific consumption of electricity.
Their disadvantage is that the SEMP covering the crucible is made stationary and is placed coaxially with the crucible in such a way that its horizontal axis passes through the geometric center along the height of the crucible. As a result, both a reduced level of metal in the crucible and an increased level (which is related to the required amount of melt for pouring specific volumes of the casting mold) reduces the efficiency of mixing with all the consequences that follow from this. In addition, the reduced level leads to the direct effect of the electromagnetic fields of the EMF on the electron beam, which essentially makes it possible to control such an important parameter as the sweep, which is directly related to the specific heating power.
The purpose of the proposed invention is to increase the efficiency of SEMP, reduce energy costs and metal losses, and improve the quality of the cast material.
The goal is achieved by the fact that in the melting crucible with the SEMP of the melt, according to the invention, the SEMP can move along the crucible during melting.
- С. 46-51.The work of the crucible is explained in the figure. After preliminary fusion by an electron beam 1 in a crucible 2 of the charged charge into a monolith C and the formation of a liquid metal mirror on its surface 4 with the help of a special device 5, the SEMP 6 is transferred from its main position in the middle of the crucible to its upper part (shown in dotted line in the figure). Including it in this position contributes to a significant acceleration of the deepening of the liquid metal bath, thereby reducing losses due to evaporation of both the base metal and alloying components, and shortening the duration of melting. As the liquid metal bath deepens, SEMP 6 - moves down to ensure complete transfer of the formed monolith to the molten state. In the future, the SEMP could move in one or another direction along the crucible depending on the specific technical task and based on technological considerations. As a result, the efficiency of SEMP increases, energy costs and metal losses decrease, and the quality of cast metal increases. 3o Literature ee, 1. Petrov Yu.B., Ratnikov D.G.
