Abstract

Invention relates to the methods of purification of natural and waste water, and other fluid solutions with the help of ion-exchange filters, in particular, to the methods of regeneration of ion-exchange resins (IER), and it can be used in power engineering, metallurgy, chemical and other fields of industry, which use the desalted or softened water in technological processes. Method of regeneration of ionites in filtration processes of the "UPCORE" type including the stage of pressing of the ionite layer by the flow of liquid medium directed bottom-up, in which the process of pressing is achieved in the pulsed mode by water supply, at least, by two pulses. The amplitude of the first pulse is not lower than the height of the area of free space above the ionite layer at the completion of operating cycle, and the amplitude of the next pulse - is not lower than the amplitude of the reflected wave appearing at the passage of the previous pulse. Time between pulses not more than the time required for the passage of the reflected wave from the preliminary pulse through the ionite layer. The use of the method provides the possibility of more complete removal of contaminants from the ionite layer and, accordingly, higher efficiency of the regeneration process. The time consumption for regeneration in this case is reduced on the average for 5-7 % depending on the nature and period of service life of the ionite. The water consumption for own needs are reduced for 10-12 %.
