Abstract

The hygienic pad with the therapeutic effect comprises the upper air-permeable layer containing the phytotherapeutic drug(s), the middle absorbing layer, and the lower air-proof layer. In addition, the upper layer contains the container filled with the phytotherapeutic drug, for example, the aromatic oil of one or several plants.

It is also known that the skin and mucous membrane of the genitals has numerous functions, namely: protective, thermoregulatory, exchange, secretory, endocrine, metabolic, immune and receptor; abundant blood and lymph circulation, abundant innervation. Therefore, by influencing the area of the external genital organs with biologically active substances of the aromatic oils of plants, it is possible to purposefully change their functions, exert a general neuro-reflex and humoral influence on the body. Having an anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antiseptic, antipruritic, analgesic, bactericidal effect, the aromatic oils of plants can be used for the prevention and treatment of various infectious and inflammatory diseases of the genitals, both specific and non-specific, for example, candidiasis, ureaplasmosis, chlamydia, non-specific vulvovaginitis. Being absorbed into the blood and spreading throughout the body, the aromatic oils of plants can realize their effect in other organs and tissues. In particular, the anti-inflammatory effect of the aromatic oils of plants is used in the treatment of salpingo-oophoritis, antitumor - ovarian cysts, harmonizing - in the case of menstrual cycle disorders, mastopathy, etc. Thus, the inclusion of plant aromatic oils in the composition of the pad ensures the prevention and treatment of various diseases of the genital organs, constant exposure to the medicinal substance during the day, maintaining it in a certain dose by periodically changing the pad, the possibility of treatment on critical days and convenience in use.

Після повного клініко-лабораторного обстеження виставлений діагноз: дріжджовий кольпит. Рекомендовано використовувати під час менструації прокладки з терапевтичним ефектом, які містять аромамасло троянди, що сприяло значному зменшенню болючих відчуттів, а в подальшому і їхньому повному зникненню.Patient K., 21 years old, complained of painful periods.
