Abstract
A method for preserving the sperm of the hogs comprises the dilution of the sperm in the medium prepared in bidistilled water containing the following ingredients, in mass %: glucose monohydrate – 5.62; trisodium citrate pentahydrate – 0.33; sodium hydrocarbonate – 0.11, and Trilon B. Then the diluted sperm is preserved at the temperature of +16...+18 °C. The sperm is diluted in maximum feasible anaerobic conditions with the medium containing 0.17 mass % of Trilon B and 0.05 % of citric acid. The medium is saturated with carbon dioxide until pH of 6.0-6.2. The containers with the diluted sperm are sealed and stored without agitation.
