Abstract

A disk magnetic separator contains a ferromagnetic disk installed with possibility of rotation in the horizontal plane above a surface of transported material. On the ferromagnetic disk concentric magnets are installed, the polarity of poles of which alternates in radial direction and in interpolar working clearance of which magnetic field with high gradient of strength is formed. Furthermore, the magnets are arched and separated from each other by two unloading sectors made from nonmagnetic material. In the case under the magnets in the plane parallel to the plane of ferromagnetic disk, a rotary disk from nonmagnetic material is located, and a fixed scraper is located under the rotary disk.
