Abstract

The invention relates to a rotor (6) for an electric machine (4) of a domestic appliance (1), comprising a non-magnetic carrier (19) for connecting the rotor (6) to a motor shaft of the electric machine (4), a plurality of permanent magnets (9), which are distributed with alternating polarity in a circumferential direction (10) of the rotor (6) and are magnetized in a tangential direction, such that a magnetic flux (12) coming from each particular permanent magnet (9) is directed in the tangential direction of the rotor (6), a plurality of magnetically conductive rotor segments (13), which are designed to concentrate the magnetic flux (12) of the respective particular permanent magnet (9) in an air gap (14) of the electric machine (4), wherein the magnetically conductive rotor segments (13) are distributed in the circumferential direction (10) of the rotor (6) in such a way that the magnetically conductive rotor segments are spaced apart from each other, and the magnetically conductive rotor segments are fastened to the non-magnetic carrier (19), and wherein an intermediate space (23) is formed between each pair of adjacent rotor segments (13) and one of the permanent magnets (9) is arranged in each intermediate space (23).
