Abstract

A process for multistage biological purification of wastewater consists of aeration stages, mixing, circulation of sludge mixture between separate purification areas, settling, withdrawal of biologically purified wastewater and surplus activated sludge. Besides, at first purification is carried out at least in one reactor of the preliminary purification, where stages of aeration and settling or aeration, mixing and settling are proceeded, and after that wastewater is purified at least in one purification reactor, where aeration and settling stages are proceeded; besides between reactors of the preliminary purification and purification or some of them circulation of the sludge mixture is carried out, after settling withdrawal of the purified wastewater from the last purification reactor and surplus activated sludge from one of the purification reactors is carried out.
