Abstract

A method for the surgical treatment of microcyst and the bilateral megaureter in the adults comprises the dilating ileocystoplasty followed by the transplantation of the ureters, which were narrowed beforehand, to the orthotopic urinary bladder. The single-stage resection of two thirds of the affected bladder is performed. The orthotopic reservoir for the urine is generated from the ileum. The lower divisions of the ureters with the utmost pathological alterations and half of the middle divisions are resected. The ureters are finally transplanted into the generated orthotopic reservoir.
