Abstract

A method for obtaining laboratory populations of Trichogramma (Hymenoptera, Trichogrammatidae) includes growing Trichogramma in eggs of feeding insects. The initial laboratory founding colony of the Trichogramma is formed by means of gathering the eggs of rusty tussock moth (Orgyia antigua Z.) infested by Trichogramma in spring from shrubby and woody vegetatation. Passage of the Trichogramma is carried out in the laboratory conditions in the course of three generations through the eggs of the oaken silkworm (Antheraea pernyi G.M.).
