Abstract

The present invention relates to the measurement technique for nonelectrical parameters. The proposed device can be used for determining levels and boundaries of liquid and fluid mediums. Thus the problem of measurements accuracy is solved. The device contains a controlled oscillator with variable frequency and constant amplitude, a signal receiver, a stroboscopic converter, an analog-to-digital converter, a processor, and a sensitive element constructed as two conductors. The oscillator output is connected to the receiver input. The receiver output is connected to the stroboscopic converter input. The stroboscopic converter output is connected in series to the analog-to-digital converter and the processor. For the purpose to increase the measurement accuracy, the proposed device contains an element with nonuniform wave impedance, which is connected between the oscillator output and the receiver input, and a variable time delay unit. The output of the controlled time delay unit is connected to the oscillator input. The input of the variable time delay unit is connected to the processor output. The proposed device allows the measurement accuracy to be 20 … 30 times increased. 3 ill.
