Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure a penetrated wave, reflected wave and scattered wave of an ultrasonic wave by providing a device, which flows a fluid to be measured to the detecting unit, to control the flow quantity and flow rate and by detecting and measuring the fluid continuously while flowing it at a fixed optimum flow quantity and flow rate.
CONSTITUTION: The fluid 2 to be measured flows in the pipe 1. The transmitter 3 and receiver 4 are provided to the pipe 1 and are opposite to each other. A high frequency wave from the oscillator 5 is applied to the transmitting vibrator 8 through the modulator 6 and amplifier 7 to vibrate it, the vibration energy is given to the fluid 2 through the transmitter horn 3, the signal propagated to the receiver horn 4 is measured by the Braun-tube oscilloscope 10 through the vibrator 11 and the amplifier 9.
