Abstract
An elastomer covering for a polymer insulator includes a one-piece-cast cylindrical body with ring ribs having a cone deepening in the bottom. The covering is made of vulcanized liquid two-component silicon rubber on the basis of components A and B with a ratio of 1:1 (mass p.), which includes active fillers. From one or two ends of the body, the covering is made in the form of bell mouth of arced form, which located symmetrically as to longitudinal axes of covering body with convexity outside. At the butt-end of covering body is situated an opening, which has diameter (Dptopc) that exceeds inner diameter of covering body (D). Wall thickness of bell mouth (h) is not less than wall thickness of covering body (h). Wall of the bell mouth is made variable thickness along bell mouth length. Junction of outside surfaces of the bell mouth and the covering body are made smooth.
