The invention relates to the metallurgy, namely to casting of steel into the ingots. A method includes casting of steel from the top in the vacuum and its subsequent hardening in the casting mold. Before pouring the steel is forcedly cooled and simultaneously intermixed for obtaining of the suspension, which contains 50-70 % of solid phase, and then, continuing mixing, it is cast with linear rate of elevation of the level of metal in the casting mold of 3-8 m/min.
