Abstract

The method of manufacturing a superconducting wire consists in joint assembly of copper shell plated-rods made of niobium with titanium alloys in a common shell made of normally conducting metal, deformation of the achieved workpiece till the required dimension and heat treatment at temperature not higher than the equilibrium temperature of single and dual phase areas on the equilibrium phase diagram of alloys for niobium-titanium system. With the purpose simplification of making wire at simultaneous upgrading a superconducting wire the heat treatment is carried out in the deformation region.
