Specifically, the method is carried out as follows. A patient with primary osteoarthritis in combination with extrinsic pancreatic insufficiency is prescribed a course of basic therapy drugs, namely non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, chondroprotectors and/or chondrostimulators. At the same time, Wobenzym is additionally prescribed according to the following scheme: 10 dragees three times a day for 4 weeks, then 5 dragees 3 times a day for 2 weeks.

Contraindications to the appointment of Wobenzym are individual hypersensitivity to any components of the drug, severe congenital or acquired blood coagulation disorders (hemophilia, thrombocytopenia, severe liver damage), diseases associated with an increased probability of bleeding, thrombocytopenia, hemodialysis.

The effectiveness of treatment was concluded based on the dynamics of the gold standard for determining the state of exocrine insufficiency of the pancreas - the level of fecal elastase-1.

The results were compared with data obtained from patients who were treated with standard drug therapy alone.

56 patients with primary osteoarthritis with exocrine insufficiency of the pancreas were treated with the proposed method, who received standard basic treatment with the additional use of Wobenzym 10 dragees three times a day for 4 weeks, then 5 dragees 3 times a day for 2 weeks. Examinations were carried out before and after the course of treatment. Before the course of therapy, the level of fecal elastase-1 was 153.83x5.34 μg/g, which corresponds to a moderate form of pancreatic insufficiency. After treatment, the condition of this indicator improved statistically significantly: the level of fecal elastase-1 was 171.19-3.67 μg/g (increased by 11.29 9).

Therefore, the proposed method provides a better therapeutic effect compared to exclusively protocol treatment, corrects the exocrine insufficiency of the pancreas in primary osteoarthritis and can be used in medical practice.
