A method of cutting continuously moving sheet material into cards is based on alignment of the line of cutting the card from the material with resultant of geometric addition of speeds of displacement of material lengthwise and speed of tool displacement in the transverse direction. For the purpose of increase of output and quality of cutting it is performed by rotary tools, which peripheral speed is equal to the resultant of the geometric addition of speeds of the displacement of material and tool.
