Abstract
The invention relates to metallurgy and to designs of shaftless air heaters of blast furnaces. A shaftless air heater includes a cylindrical chamber (1) having an attachment (2) and a dome (3), which dome is positioned above the attachment (2) and has a cylindrical portion (4) and, positioned above the cylindrical portion (4), a tapering portion (5) and, positioned above the tapering portion (5), a cylindrical neck (6) which communicates with an antechamber (7) located above the dome. Channels (9, 10; 11, 12), for respectively feeding air and gas into the antechamber (7), are provided in lateral walls (8) of the antechamber (7). The shaftless air heater is carried out having a ratio, °F the diameter (D1) of the cylindrical neck (6) to the diameter (D2) of the cylindrical portion (4) of the dome (3), of between 0.31 and 0.41. The technical result consists in eliminating conditions for the occurrence of combustion pulsations, and in increasing the completeness of combustion of gas.
